Stomp Box Choir have just released their new single, Desert Island Daydream, which delivers a lush blend of dream pop and electronic production shaped by longtime collaborators Howsie and Joe Stratton. Built around warm bass grooves, hazy synth layers, and melodic guitar work, the track trades darker club influences for a brighter, escapist atmosphere.
Vocalist Burcu Bahar Aydın adds a soulful, expressive touch that gives the song its emotional center. Originally sparked during the isolation of the pandemic years, the release captures a sense of longing and reflection without losing its rhythmic pulse. Recorded between home sessions in North London and studio vocals in Notting Hill, the single feels intimate, polished, and refreshingly unconcerned with genre boundaries.
