Janet Devlin has recently released her new single, Working For The Man, which is a long-awaited release that finally gives studio treatment to a song fans have cherished for years. Written when she was just 17, the track explores frustration with exhausting routines and the struggle to hold onto individuality in a demanding world.
Its themes still resonate strongly today. Produced with Jurgen Korduletsch and Rick Chambers, the single blends jangly guitars, lively piano and pounding drums with Devlin’s rich, country-infused vocals. Mixed by Vance Powell and mastered at Abbey Road Studios, the recording captures both grit and warmth, building from tense reflection into an uplifting, powerful finale filled with determination and heart.
