The Cumberland River Project has just released his new single, When The Streetlights Came On, which is a reflective country-Americana track celebrating childhood and the way things used to be before digital life took over. Written by Frank Renfordt alongside Nebraska songwriter Mick Logsdon, the track draws from shared memories despite the pair growing up oceans apart.
Centered around the familiar signal of streetlights ending a carefree day, the song captures youthful freedom, imagination, and genuine connection. Warm acoustic textures and modern roots influences give the release a timeless feel without sounding stuck in the past.
