Apollo1, an artist hailing from Durham, North Carolina, has recently released their debut album, RELEASE, which is an impressive 21-track record that offers a wide range of styles for listeners. Built over ten years, it reflects heartbreak from a painful breakup and struggles with past addiction and recovery.
Most production comes from Apollo1 and close friend Zenlee, who handles beats, mixing, and mastering, with additional features from Nic main, C9, St Raichu. Recorded mainly in a home bedroom studio, the artist builds instrumentals first, then writes lyrics inspired directly by the mood of the music. Across 21 songs, Apollo1 aims to present something for everyone while showcasing a personal journey and a hope-driven message, with possible Athfest performance planned soon.
