Boston duo Fanta Vibez and Gasoline Monk have recently released their new single, Keep You Close, which captures a more vulnerable turn for the longtime partners and label co-founders. Following their darker PROJECT RED EP, this single pivots toward the warmth of a stable relationship, wrapped in hazy indie r&b textures with shoegaze edges.

Monk handles a homespun production approach, layering bass, keys, guitars, and programmed drums from his own space, while vocals were tracked at a trusted Boston studio. The track also deepens their shift into indie rock territory hinted at in earlier releases. Notably, the song’s inspiration stood quietly in the room, only realizing midway that the lyrics were about him during that intimate recording session.
