Lorenzo Cimino and Sergio Sorrentino have just released their collaborative new album, Enoscapes, which is an ambient release that engages Brian Eno’s ethos rather than imitating his catalog. Issued by Suoni Possibili, the album centers trumpet and electric archtop guitar, using sparse electronics to build shifting sonic environments.

In it Lorenzo treats the trumpet less as a lead voice and more as a source of texture, shaping airy, evolving forms. Familiar pieces like Music for Airports and By This River are reduced to their core spirit and gently reinterpreted through improvisation. The result invites focused listening, rewarding patience with subtle detail. Blending jazz, experimental, and modern classical ideas, Enoscapes feels like a living, breathing continuation of ambient music’s exploratory tradition.
