Satsuma unveils debut EP, Anodyne

Satsuma has recently released his debut EP, Anodyne, which is a compelling dive into alt/indie rock, showcasing a raw, guitar-driven sound. Behind the project is Cam Halkerston, a multi-instrumentalist from Edinburgh who handles every aspect of the music himself, from playing and singing to production.

The songs are deeply personal, reflecting his journey through post-navy life, relationships, and mental health struggles, aiming to connect with listeners on an emotional level. Recorded primarily at home, the six-track EP achieves a full-band feel without digital programming or vocal pitch correction. Cam’s DIY ethos extends to the hand-painted cover art, making Anodyne a sincere, self-sufficient statement from a rising artist.
