Bristol-based Lucian Lacewing has just released his debut single, Land Of Enchantment, which is a hypnotic exploration of sound. Drawing on the drone-like qualities of Indian Classical music, he layers sitar, muted trumpet, and ethereal vocals from eight friends, manipulated with delay and textural effects.

Mixed with the help of Stef Hambrook, the track’s lush production blurs the lines between instruments, creating a surreal, cinematic atmosphere. Crafted mostly in his bedroom by candlelight, the song’s choruses soar with a dreamlike intensity, while the interplay of voice and instrument keeps listeners guessing. This experimental piece signals a bold, eclectic vision ahead of his album When We Were Hydrogen.
