Marking their fifth release, The Sven Curth (huge) Trio have just delivered their first live album, Live at your local Waterhole, captured with a full band at The Waterhole in Saranac Lake, NY. Backed by drummer Kyle Murray and bassist Colin Dehond, the trio expands its sound with guest keyboardist Chris Carballeira, adding depth after just one rehearsal together.

Recorded straight from the venue’s board on a warm August night, the set radiates intimacy and spontaneity. The songs move fluidly from stripped-down Americana to brooding blues, playful swing, and expansive improvisation. Mixed with Tom Varga’s analog gear and mastered to tape by Fred Kevorkian, the record celebrates musicianship, connection, and the joy of real-time performance.
