Sola Akingbola & The Eegun Rhapsodies' latest album 'How Should I'

Sola Akingbola & The Eegun Rhapsodies have unveiled a captivating new album, "How Should I".

Known as a percussionist for the legendary band Jamiroquai and a composer for CBS's "Bob Hearts Abishola", Sola draws from his passions for Greek classics and Yoruba poetry. The album reflects a revival of Yoruba culture through a UK lens, showcasing a rich blend of musical styles.

The title track, originally crafted for the Royal Shakespeare Company’s 2016 "Hamlet," features the heartfelt vocals of Olivier-winning actress Sheila Atim, enveloped in a soothing groove reminiscent of jazz lounges. With eleven tracks, including the vibrant "Touch My Soul" and reflective "My Brother's Keeper," each piece explores cultural identity.

"How Should I" marks Sola's most intimate project, celebrating the fusion of his Nigerian roots and British influences, while emphasizing music’s power to connect across cultures. Check out the album now.
