Milan Mes, a versatile trumpet player, producer, and singer, has released his debut single titled, De Achtertuin.

The track blends absurdity with upbeat energy, offering a quirky mix of folk, disco, and Dutch rave. Set in a bizarre backyard where frogs fall from the sky and elephants attack inflatable dolls, the song takes an unexpected, thrilling turn halfway through.

Having navigated various musical genres, Milan found his true voice in Gipsy Rave—a fusion of energetic rave beats, Balkan brass, and folk melodies. His latest single represents this unique style, drawing from both tradition and modernity.

A winner of multiple music awards, including the Best Musician title at the 2009 Grote Prijs of The Netherlands, Milan Mes aims to redefine “Elektronische Volksmuzik” in his own vibrant way. Check out De Achtertuin below.
