MatAre unveils new single titled Under A Stone

MatAre, the musical project of Atlanta-based Matt Rousseau, has just unveiled his latest single, Under A Stone, a powerful blend of dream-pop, indie rock, and new-wave influences.

Known for his emotionally charged songwriting, MatAre explores themes of loneliness and acceptance, drawing inspiration from his own experience of living away from loved ones. The track’s upbeat tone contrasts its poignant lyrics, offering a hopeful take on isolation.

South African drummer Glenn Welman adds rhythmic depth, while Gabe Wolf handles mixing and mastering. The song stands out for its raw honesty and a unique sonic palette, featuring '80s inspired guitar tones that evoke the spirit of new-wave.
