Dirty Liars have just unveiled their latest single, Nightmare, marking a significant moment in their evolution as a band.
The trio, consisting of Ian McDirt on guitar, Mandy Moo on vocals and bass, and Ben Woods on drums, aimed to create a dynamic and visually striking sound. This track, born out of a spontaneous writing session, encapsulates their raw, punchy style reminiscent of 1970's rock.
The song reflects the tumultuous personal lives of Ian and Mandy, who were navigating difficult separations while forming their band. This shared experience of struggle and longing for a better reality inspired the haunting theme of the track. Produced by Peter Alexander, Nightmare is the first in a series of seven singles set to be released in 2025, showcasing the band's journey and musical growth.
