Scarlet Mill have recently released their new single, Pharisee, which is delivering a blend of vintage synth rock and trip-hop textures. The duo, hailing from The Netherlands, channels late70s and 80s atmospheres, drawing inspiration from Berlin’s iconic studio sound while shaping something distinctly their own.

Steady rhythms meet shimmering analogue tones, with Juno synths weaving around ghostly guitar lines. Jennifer Moesker and Erik Verhoef craft a moody backdrop for drifting female vocals, contrasted by rough male harmonies. Recorded partly on Baltrum island, the track feels windswept and cinematic, hinting at the band’s slowly unfolding upcoming album narrative. It promises a dark, immersive continuation of their evolving sound.
