MERTDER unveils debut EP, Carnal Riot

London-based artist MERTDER has just released his debut EP, Carnal Riot, which is a bold introduction that fuses hyper masculine energy with flamboyant queer expression. Across four tracks, he dives into themes of vulnerability, social stigma, political honesty, and personal rebirth. The standout cut Hussy turns a derogatory term into a declaration of self control, contrasting destruction with sanctuary through sharp wordplay.

Drawing from London’s underground and his Turkish background, the production mixes heavy bass, industrial textures, and Eastern influences. His lyrics hide darker meanings beneath playful swagger, creating a tension between movement and message, inviting listeners to confront discomfort while still losing themselves on the dancefloor while embracing transformation and unapologetic emotional intensity throughout.
