Azuka Moweta’s latest album, Kenechukwu

Azuka Moweta has recently released his new album, Kenechukwu, which is a seven-track record that deepens his mission of bringing Ekobe music to wider audiences. The Asaba (Nigeria)-born singer, known for dynamic live shows and leadership of the Anioma Brothers Band, blends Igbo highlife with traditional rhythms and instruments such as udu, ogene, igba, and ichaka.

The record balances gratitude, heritage and community spirit. Opening tribute Uwa Bu Onye Zusia honors influential trumpeter Zeal Onyia, while the title track offers a lively thanksgiving. Songs like Ndi Di Mma and Izu Nwanne Ka highlight kindness and brotherhood, and Odogwu Ahaba channels Delta pride. Instrumental cut Ogalanya Sound System lets the band stretch out before Nyem Nkem closes.
