Southern California singer-songwriter Emily Sophia has just released her new single Alive, which is a new, fuller, band-driven version shaped by collaborators Lukas Romero and Kendra Barovick. Originally written for a college songwriting class and once produced in GarageBand, the track now blooms with live guitars, bass, drums, and richer vocals. Inspired by 90s dream pop, the apartment-recorded production keeps an intimate bedroom-pop charm while delivering the vibrant sound she always imagined for the song from it.
