Bristol’s musical artist Tuxedo Dave, a tuxedo sea urchin (as he calls himself), has entered the electronic scene with his debut single, Ground, which immerses listeners in a watery soundscape. Recorded from puddles, gutters, and tidal pools, the track layers slow, heavy rhythms with ethereal melodies, incorporating underwater-processed sounds of footsteps, traffic, and vibrating concrete.

Dave’s music blurs ambient electronica and experimental club textures, often guided by tidal rhythms rather than standard tempos. Using custom waterproof synthesizers and pressure-sensitive controllers, his work reflects both environmental limitation and creative innovation. Ground is a compelling glimpse into an aquatic perspective on urban life, merging hydro-acoustic detail with conceptual, submersed artistry.
