South London songwriter Tim Eveleigh has released his new record, Life Is Not A Competition, which is a richly varied album blending horns, choirs and spoken passages. The songs aim for comfort rather than bravado, offering gentle reassurance. Produced with longtime collaborator Andy Thornton, alongside vocalist Maria Levesley, the record feels confident and warm. Recorded rhythm-first at Churcgate Heights, it captures Tim’s most focused writing yet, while cajon-led foundations leave space for emotional growth and surprising moments.
