Powers of the Monk have recently released their new single, Sleepy Fields, which drifts like a lucid dream, blurring the line between rest and awareness. Airy pulses and hushed melodies create a buoyant calm, as if your heartbeat syncs with invisible poppies swaying in slow motion. The Detroit-based duo, reformed in 2020, channels an intimate chemistry, supported by guest drummer John O’Reilly Jr. The single was produced by the band, mixed by Bryan Cook and mastered by Brian Calhoun.
