West Wickhams unveil new EP, Sakura

West Wickhams have just released their new EP, Sakura, which drifts through a hazy, lo-fi post-punk dreamworld, channeling the Japanese idea of mono no aware—a tender awareness of life’s brief, shimmering moments. The duo, Jon Othello and Elle Flores, weave bedroom synth pop with a wistful glow, echoing cherry blossoms’ fleeting bloom without leaning on sentimentality.

Their sound feels both intimate and otherworldly, shaped by origins on mystical Tresco on the Isles of Scilly, and refined after relocating to creature-filled Richmond, Surrey. Each track melts into the next like a fading petal, inviting listeners to pause, breathe, and simply notice the beauty that doesn’t last. Hope you enjoy the journey.
