Norwegian trio GISKE have just released their new single, The Sound of Birdsong, in collaboration with singer Maria Due, which feels like drifting between sleep and dawn. Gentle guitars, hushed vocals, and a soft rhythmic pulse create a hypnotic folk-pop dreamscape that recalls both classic British pop and modern indie warmth.

Written by longtime collaborators Alex Rinde and Rune Berg, the song captures that endless Nordic twilight where night never fully fades. Recorded at Ocean Sound and released via Lydbroderiet plateselskap, the track is a serene preview of their upcoming album Ten Visits, Ten Songs, to be released in February 2026—a project born from intimate songwriting sessions on their tiny home island, where melody and memory quietly intertwine.
