Vancouver-based indie folk artist Moira Chicilo has recently released her new single, Reviver, which is a haunting tribute to Canada’s vanishing small towns. Drawing inspiration from road trips and her Saskatchewan roots, Moira crafts a vivid, melancholic portrait of places once thriving, now quietly unraveling.

Her gentle vocals and sparse acoustic guitar blend seamlessly with the mournful pedal steel, creating a sound both intimate and reflective. Laced with gritty details—abandoned carts, aging cars—her lyrics evoke a quiet desperation. Produced by Jayne Trimble and released on World Peach Records, Reviver is both personal and universal, reminding us of the deep cultural imprint small towns leave on the national landscape.
